Recipe: Norma Desmond’s Vodka Gimlet

Vodka Gimlet

Norma Desmond knew how to keep her girlish figure.  She drank Gimlets.  Puts a little pucker on your lips.  What?  You don’t know who Norma Desmond was?  You’ll have to google it to find out.  OK.  I’ll tell you.  She was Billy Wilder’s dream girl in “Sunset Boulevard”, played by Gloria Swanson with horrifying precision in the 1950′s film noir movie.  Come to think of it.  You’ll probably want to think of another reason to drink a Gimlet.  Who wants to be an aging, reclusive movie star?  Like how about a way to enjoy a premium, triple distilled artisan vodka,  like the lovely libation from Vermont.

1½ oz vodka
¾ oz lime juice
3-4 lime slices

Pour vodka and lime juice into mixing glass, shake and strain into martini glass. Add 3 to 4 slices of lime.
