Refreshing Green Tea Mojitos – Just in Time for Cinco de Mayo

In honor of Cinco de Mayo, here is a green, low-carb twist on a cuban classic.
While its potent antioxidant properties and numerous health benefits are well-known, many people are unaware of how well green tea works with mint and rum to make a deliciously refreshing low-carb cocktail, perfect for any warm-weather fiesta.
Green Tea Mojitos
(ingredients for 1 drink)
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed organic lime juice
4 large organic mint leaves
2 teaspoons of organic xylitol crystals or 2 pinches of organic stevia
3 ounces of brewed organic green tea, cooled to room temperature
1 ounce organic white rum
Muddle the lime juice, mint leaves, and natural sweetener together in a Collins glass until the leaves bruise lightly and the flavors release. Fill the glass three-quarters full with ice cubes, pour in the green tea and rum. Stir thoroughly and enjoy.
