It’s never too soon to prepare for Halloween.  You’ve started on your costume.  You’ve made your plans for Trick or Treat.  You’ve got the guest list ready for your invitees – er – vampire victims.  What’s left?  You’d better get your cocktail shaker out.  It’s time for a Vampire Cocktail.

You know you want it.  A drink as red as blood,  as bitter as gall, and as bracing as can be in an icy cold martini glass.  If you’re Italian,  you’ll find the Campari bitter flavor familiar.  If you’re a Vampire,  you’ll find the crimson color a turn on.  If you’re an Italian Vampire,  well I don’t even want to guess what might happen.

But one thing you can be sure of.  This drink has NO CARBS, and will leave you glowing and brilliant as the thinnest,  sexiest vampire in the room.

Recipe:  Halloween Cocktail:  The Vampire’s Martini

Vampire’s Martini 

red as blood and twice as powerful

  • 1.5 oz Campari
  • 1.5 oz. vermouth
  • 1.5 oz Plymouth  gin

garnish with orange wheel

Shaken, never stirred.  Place ingredients into a shaker with crushed ice and shake and then strain into an icy cold martini glass.
