Once you graduated beyond cranberry sauce in a can that slid out like jello, you began to see the real possibilities for this condiment for Thanksgiving. Not much of a stretch to replace the sugar with stevia, but, to my way of thinking, it still needed “something”, so I added a dollop of Polaner all fruit sugar free orange marmalade. Now we’re talking. Delicious and easy.
Silver Cloud Cranberry Sauce with Orange
- 16 oz. bag cranberries
- 1 packet stevia
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons Polaner Sugar Free Orange marmalade (or to taste)
- Grated zest from one orange
Over low heat, cook the cranberries in a saucepan with the stevia and water until they begin to pop.
After about 10 minutes, mash the cranberries with a hand potato masher. They should burst easily. If they don’t, be patient, stir and wait a few more minutes.
Once you can mash the cranberries you will see the sauce is very chunky and thick. Stir in orange marmalade and zest. Remove from heat and cool.
