Grilled Chili Shrimp with Avocado Orange Salsa Recipe

Serves 4

Ingredients:

1-1/2 pounds large, peeled shrimp

Mix together:

½ teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon chili powder
Kosher salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste

Avocado Salsa:

1 large ripe Haas avocado, peeled, deseeded, and chopped
½ cup minced cilantro
2 cloves garlic, smashed
2 tablespoons minced green onion
2 tablespoons minced tomato
Juice and grated zest of one orange
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Directions:

1. Dredge shrimp in cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Toss salsa ingredients together.

2. Heat oil in a large skillet and sauté shrimp until opaque and golden, about 3 minutes. To serve, mound salsa on a plate and top with shrimp.
