According to People magazine, Drew Carey, diabetic and overweight, decided to do something about it – by following a low-carb diet. Now, he is 80 pounds lighter and his blood glucose is normal. He is quoted as saying, “I’m not diabetic anymore. No medication needed.”
What does he eat? Basically, no sugar, no starch – pretty simple. In his very brief description, he talks about eating fruit, vegetables, Greek yogurt, and protein, and he has stopped drinking everything except water. But “no bread at all” – “not even a cracker”. He also exercises. “I like being skinny”, he says. “I was sick of being fat on the camera”.
I wish Mr. Carey all the best in his new low-carb lifestyle!
